Q: Do I need teaching experience to participate in the Teach In China program?
A: It depends on different positions, but teaching experience is preferred
Q: Can I request a teaching assignment in the location of my preference?
A: Yes, you can. We will try to place you a job in your preferred location, but this is not always possible.
Q: Where are the Teach In China placements located?
A: Our partner schools are located all around China, so the placements will be distributed all over the country. When we offer you a placement, a detailed introduction about the location, the school and accommodation will be provided at that time.
Q: Can I be placed at the same institution as a friend also participating in Teach in China?
A: Many schools need more than one English teacher, so if your friend matches the program eligibility, we can probably do that. This called double placement.
Q: Can I bring my child or spouse with me when I teach abroad?
A: One child and your spouse are absolutely welcome to join you. The host school will apply visa invitation letter for you and your family together.
Q: Does Wisdombridge charge a program fee?
A: Wisdombridge only charges $100 application fee.
Q: I have not completed my Bachelor's degree, can I still participate?
A: It will take us 3 to 6 months to place you with a teaching position, so you are in the last semester of your BA degree, you are fine to join this program.
Q: Do I need to speak Mandarin?
A: There is no requirement for you to speak Mandarin. The school will hope the students can be immersed completely into an English teaching environment. However, if you can speak some Chinese, it is helpful in your daily life in China.
Q: Does Wisdombridge arrange my international flights?
A: No. The flights are arranged by you independently and host school will provide you with arrangements once you have arrived in China.
Q: I am not a U.S. citizen; can I still apply for the program?
A: We accept Native English Speakers who are from the US, Canada, England, New Zealand. You are welcome to participate in this program as long as you come from a Native English Speaking Country.
